Run Mahomet is in its 29th annual running and is a main fundraiser to support Mahomet Area Youth Club (MAYC)*, a vital non-profit organization providing education, programming, and community to our children. If you're looking for a great race, why not let your registration fees also support a great cause?

Run Mahomet offers USATF Certified Courses for the 5k, 10k, and the 1⁄2 Marathon. Chip timing is provided by It’s Race Time, Inc. for in-person runners. The course is primarily flat and considered fast. Virtual options are available for all races!

Now....I'm supposed to write a little bit about myself. Actually, let me start with my team.

Amanda Beene has 20+ years of industry experience sprinkled with a generous dash of southern charm, which together earns her customers’ faith and friendship.

She is a loving wife to her husband Chad. Chad is not only a successful business owner but also a farmer, showcasing his hard work and dedication to his craft. They recently moved to a beautiful new piece of farmland where they are bringing to life some long-held dreams.

Amanda and Chad are proud parents of Abbie and Ava. Abbie, a collegiate cheerleader, is known for her dedication to her sport and her ability to inspire others. Ava, on the other hand, is the youngest of the family but runs the shows (or so she thinks). With her vibrant personality and natural leadership skills, she takes charge and adds a spark of excitement to their household.

While Amanda's professional life keeps her busy, she cherishes the moments spent with her family and friends. Next time you talk to her, ask her if she has a baby goat in her kitchen!

June Power, originally from Georgia, made the move to Illinois in 2023 and is excited to embrace her new home alongside her soon-to-be wife and elementary-school-aged daughter.

At 18, a frustrating claim left her feeling neglected and unsupported during a very stressful experience. She decided that she wanted to be there to guide people through their own tough times. Since starting with State Farm in 2017, she has upheld that goal and continues to do everything she can to make insurance an easy and informative process for customers.

Junie finds joy exploring the park or going for a bike ride and cherishes quality moments with her family. On quieter days, she enjoys staying home and playing games with her daughter (Sonic is a fave!). June’s favorite movie is Tokyo Godfathers, a captivating film that weaves a beautiful and comedic queer narrative that resonates with anyone who has ever felt othered. As for her dream vacation, Junie envisions a scenic train journey from Chicago to California, relishing the opportunity to soak in the breathtaking sights along the way, especially the enchanting redwood forests.

As for me, Nicole Wellman, I am a people collector who has prided myself on uncovering needs and walking folks through their toughest times. For me, there's no better way to do that than to talk with them about priorities, goals, dreams, and risks--doing my part to help mitigate the risks so they can chase the dreams for themselves and their loved ones.

It's an honor to be a mom/stepmom of ten including a set of triplets who are now 15! I'm married to my biggest cheerleader, Jim, and we live in Bloomington, IL. I'm a multi-published author of inspirational fiction and non-fiction and an award-winning editor. I also spent many years in corporate marketing leadership.

Somewhere along my storied journey, I found myself 100+ pounds overweight. I was unhappy, unhealthy, and unmotivated. Achieving wellness, for me, was a much deeper issue than a number on the scale. It meant emptying my life of things that didn’t promote peace. In that pursuit, I started doing triathlons, launched a new career, and got married. I learned (sometimes the hard way) how every personal habit, financial decision, and lifestyle pattern has an effect on overall wellness. Now, I'm not saying I have it all figured out, but I do have the tools to help it all make sense. I'm so excited to parlay my experiences into helping people make the insurance and financial decisions that are right for them, while having a little fun along the way!
